When we made their first site in 2007 in collaboration with Linked by Air, SO–IL was a young firm and didn't have a lot of built workAs a result, site was made to highlight multiple different aspects of their practice including competitions, writing and ideas

By 2014, the firm had become much more established, had built work, and a clear visual languageMuch of their practice involved innovative approaches to materials as well as experiments with levels of opacity to divide spaceTo highlight these physical qualities, a blur effect was used to obscure text and images on hovering over content on the siteVideos made using drones and other mechanized cinematic techniques were also introduced to highlight the material experiments of their projects

In continuation with their first website, which was typeset in Univers, the website is typeset in Univers Bold in one type size throughout the site
